Having launched into the professional realm of photography, in 2009, Daniel has been working recently as the touring photographer with the National Tour of the Broadway Musical Grease and as the ‘Official Concert Photographer’ of American Idol and Platinum Recording Artist, Taylor Hicks.

“I found early on during my 2008 tour with the band Coldplay that I loved photographing live
performances and that my camera allowed me to capture how the lighting director painted
the music in the sky with lights.”

Capturing the essence of the performer on stage as well as the energy of the show as a whole is something that Daniel prides himself in. For samples of his work photographing live performances, check out the Concerts gallery.

In addition to working on fusing his work in the theatre with camera lenses, Daniel has also started to move away from the travel aspect of his photographic beginnings and into the realm of portraiture.

“Thanks to the generosity, patience and trust of some very talented and beautiful people, I have
started to compile a portfolio of location portraits, actor headshots, modeling images for actor
comp-cards, and a small selection of fashion photographs.”

“I would like to work with anyone interested in modeling for me and helping me to

“As I continue to travel the states, I tote along my Think Tank ‘airport security’ carry-on
camera bag containing the Nikon D3 and D300 as well as 5 Nikkor Lenses and the Nikon CLS   (Creative Lighting System). My camera support favorite continues to be a Manfrotto/Bogen tripod with the recent addition of Really Right Stuff quick release gear.
Lighting and grip support comes from Manfrotto/Bogen Avenger stands, clamps, arms and brackets; and I utilize those amazing blue-bag lighting
modifiers from Lastolite.”

“On a more personal note, I continue to enjoy my travels around the states. I try to laugh at least once a day, and make others laugh more than that if possible. I am a firm believer that smiles are contagious and that life is too short not to take full advantage of. I am not really sure what my exact purpose in life is as of yet, but I am finding out all sorts of fun things and taking as many photos as possible along the way while I attempt to figure it out. I love the theatre and love having the opportunity to entertain, directly or indirectly every day. I love the magic created here and hope that everyone at one point in their lives has the opportunity to not only experience it, but to be a part of it as well.”
