Professional Skills and Services

While growing up in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan a career in professional theatre was never really a thought and New York seemed like such a far-off place. Fast-forward a few decades, and after almost 10 years touring the world with 8 different productions, I now find myself outside of Albany, NY. I have fostered a unique blend of photographic knowledge and theatrical lighting design that allows me to truly understand the nuances present on the theatrical stage. A varied career that continues to help me to best capture images that will continue to document productions and characters for years to come and create imagery in the real world that borrows an aesthetic from the theatrical stage.

Theatrical Production Photography

I have had the distinct privilege of photographing some excellent touring Broadway productions, with cast and creative teams that are some of the biggest talents in the industry. Productions photographed include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat starring Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young to the First National tour of MEMPHIS starring Broadway's own Bryan Fenkart and Felicia Boswell. Additional Imagery located in Production Photography gallery below.

Character Portraiture

I have had the privilege of capturing some incredible talent fully immersed in their characters. Imagery of the First National Tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, photographed for the Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas. Imagery of the First National Tour of MEMPHIS photographed for the producers of the Broadway musical for use on their digital properties. Additional Imagery located in Character Portraiture gallery below.

Theatrical Portraiture

I have a love for theatrical imagery and photography that captures a well-crafted truth, and colorful images that evoke the contrast and dynamics of a black and white image in vibrant color. With a background in professional, world-class production, I thrive in managing and producing a large shoot with the highest of production standards to create images that astound my clients. I am an Upstate, New York based photographer specializing in location portraiture, theatrical portraiture, and production photography. I began my photographic career while on tour with Broadway shows and cannot wait to see where it goes next.

Dance Photography

Lighting Design, both collegiate and professional, was the focus of my time in East Lansing, Michigan while studying at the Michigan State University Department of Theatre. After attaining my B.A. degree in theatre with an emphasis on Production in 2004, I decided to move into a professional career in which I could work along-side world-class designers and learn as much as I could along the way. Having learned more than I ever could have imagined from the designers, associates, assistants and production teams along the way, I am excited to focus more on theatrical design as my career continues to evolve.

Concert Photography

I began my career in professional theatre and lighting while working as a student with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts Local #274 in East Lansing, MI and a decade later, I have worked in countless theatres and performing arts spaces around the globe, and after moving to the NY Capital Region, I continue to work in the arts in a local experimental media and performing arts center and with IATSE Local #14.

Music Portraiture

With a background in theatrical lighting and a career spanning more than 10 years in professional entertainment lighting, moving into the photographic realm was an obvious next step. Personal work on tour with the band COLDPLAY, and the Broadway Tours of Grease, Shrek the Musical, & MEMPHIS; as well as professional work with Broadway Tours of MEMPHIS, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
